In plain English

When you request access we keep your email and a few details about your interest so we can set up your access. We do not sell your data. Email us and we will delete it.

What do we collect?

When you submit an access request form, we store:

  • your email address;
  • the description you picked (writer, company or agency, or developer);
  • your publication URL, if you chose to enter one;
  • which API or plan you signed up from, the page you were on and the referring page;
  • any UTM campaign tags in the link you followed (for example utm_source);
  • the date and time you signed up.

To stop abuse, our server briefly keeps your IP address in memory to rate-limit repeated sign-ups. It is not stored with your access request. Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs.

Why do we collect it?

  • To email you about early access, and about the product you signed up for.
  • To set up your account and understand which APIs and plans people choose.
  • To understand which pages and campaigns bring people to the site.

We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell, rent or trade it.

Where is it stored, and who sees it?

Access requests are stored with our hosting and database providers, who process them on our behalf. Only the newsletterapi team can read them. We share data only if the law requires it.

How long do we keep it?

We keep access requests for as long as your account is active, or until you ask us to delete them. If we stop the project, we delete the list.

How do I see or delete my data?

Email hello@newsletterapi.io from the address you signed up with. We will send you what we hold, correct it or delete it. Every email we send also has an unsubscribe link.

What about my Substack data later?

Nothing from your Substack is collected today. When the product launches, it will only read what you connect (your public feed and the exports you upload), and this policy will be updated before then. See the APIs and the disclaimer.
